I’m the Storylosopher

Yes, that’s a kilt.

About Carl T. Rogers, MFA

I’m Carl, and I’m the Storylosopher. I’m a screenwriter, director, and lay philosopher. My shorts have screened across the US and overseas in Israel, Finland, and Germany. I earned a MFA in Film Production from Florida State University and a BA in Cinema-Television from Regent University. Now, I toil away in the dark hours of the dawn writing feature-length screenplays that I aim to direct in the not-so-distant future.

Storyteller

My goal on the Storylosopher is to educate and inspire other writers and storytellers as we grow together as creators. I aim to teach others what I’ve learned, and to be the resource I wish I’d had when I was a beginner. Regardless of what type of writer you are or the types of stories you tell, please use this blog to improve your skills.

Carl T. Rogers

As I continue to hone my own craft as a storyteller, I’m drawn deeper into why stories matter to us all. That’s why my film and TV analysis articles explore the intersection of storytelling, philosophy, and theology.

Lay Philosopher

I’m the son of a pastor and an English professor in the Christ-haunted South. I was steeped in theology, history, and literature from a wee bairn onward. As I became a man and made my faith in Messiah my own, I developed a love for studying philosophy and apologetics.

You may not know it, but you’re a philosopher, too.

Husband + Father

I’m a Ravenclaw married to a Slytherin, but we make a great team. We have one son and two cats: Professor Lupin and Princess Buttercup. My day job is in the tech industry as a Sr. UX (User Experience) Strategist. My puns are unavoidable. I also chart my language learning journey at another YouTube channel called Carl’s Lingo Kingdom.
